Join us on April 2nd from 1-4pm at Liberty Elementary School in Bismarck. Together, we will celebrate the 8th Annual World Autism Awareness Day with games, inflatables for kids of all ages, face painting, a fire truck, local informational booths, and more. A Food Truck will be on site to offer any snacks and beverages for purchase.
What is Autism Awareness Day? In 2007, the United Nations adopted the resolution to recognize Autism and awareness by setting aside a special day each year.
“World Autism Awareness Day shines a bright light on autism as a growing global health crisis. WAAD activities help to increase and develop world knowledge of the autism epidemic and impart information regarding the importance of early diagnosis and early intervention. Additionally, WAAD celebrates the unique talents and skills of persons with autism and is a day when individuals with autism are warmly welcomed and embraced in community events around the globe.”
